A workshop on the Record Revenues for the region of West Africa and Central was held in Lome in Togo on Wednesday 26 to Friday, May 28, 2010.

This workshop is organized by the WCO and aims:

1. promote and explain the use of tools and instruments available, useful for revenue collection, and

2. identify areas where Members consider that their needs are not met in terms of efficiency of revenue collection and provide for appropriate solutions, eg research and development of new tools and instruments.

The Store and Clearance Areas Management System , upstream ASYCUDA + +, reinforces the customs computer system.


It aims to enable customs to control inputs and outputs of goods in stores and clearance areas (SCA) to have real time information related to operations in SCAs.

As part of the exchange of experience in information technology in customs matters between countries using ASYCUDA clearance system under the auspices of UNCTAD, a Mauritanian delegation Customs conducted a working visit to Lome in Togo with the  Customs 19 to 26 October 2008.

During her stay she was impregnated with the operation of the new Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA + +) which came into force in Togo since October 2007. C'est un  système évolué qui est désormais utilisé par la douane et ses partenaires dans les opérations douanières. This is an advanced system which is now used by Customs and its partners in customs operations.

PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT SIGNATURE BETWEEN THE CUSTOMS OF TOGO AND NESTLE

The Head of Togo Customs Office signed on Monday, April 28, 2008 with Nestle Company a Memorandum of Understanding to combine their efforts in the fight against smuggling and counterfeiting.

The agreement allows both parties to define the legal framework of cooperation between the two institutions. It was signed by Mr. Ayawovi SEGLA, representing the Director General of Customs Togolese, and Jean Pierre Maeder, Assistant Vice President of Societe des Produits Nestle SA Switzerland.The Deputy Director General of Customs Togolese Mr. Ayawovi SEGLA welcomed the initiative taken by the Nestle Company "by offering us to put all our efforts to effectively fight against smuggling and counterfeiting."

For Mr. SEGLA, the institution has committed in recent years in the fight against these scourges, which are considered the most serious crimes committed by those we might call economic saboteurs and terrorists of health.

Visite du D.G. des Douanes Togolaises en Côte d'ivoire

Image Le Directeur Général des Douanes du TOGO a effectué une visite d'amitié et de travail à la Direction Générale des Douanes de Côte d'Ivoire, du 25 au 28 Mars 2008.

Cette visite a été marquée par la présentation des reformes de la Direction Générale des Douanes ivoiriennes, le Mardi 25 Mars 2008 à la salle de conférence de la D.G.D. Par la suite la délégation togolaise a visité certains services (Bureau 1, Direction Informatique, Scanner, B.A.G.R) afin d'apprécier la mise en application des reformes. La délégation togolaise était composée de:

  • M. ABLY-BIDAMON Dédériwé (Directeur Général)
  • M. ADEDZE Kodjo (Conseiller du Directeur Général)
  • M. BAMANA Winega (Directeur de la Législation)
